My history with linguistics

While I was in college from 2000-2004 at UCSB, I stumbled across the Linguistics department and decided the field was so fascinating that I should study it as my major. After college I lamented that I did not think it was viable to become a linguist or a philologist or to become a professor. With much relief I discovered that linguistics could be found in many employments and that linguistics could remain my hobby. This blog is to share my interest.
